3 Cozy Patterns
I designed these coffee cup cozies when I wanted to perfect my cabling skills.
There are three levels of difficulty to try. One to learn cabling, one to help you perfect the skill and one to make you feel like a master!
This quick project makes a great little gift.
Materials for any one cozy:
• 15 grams worsted or sport weight yarn
A light colored yarn works best to show off the cabling.
• US 7 needles either straights or 16” circular (I’ve even used double pointed (DPNs) in a pinch.)
• cable needle
• tapestry needle for weaving in the ends
Special stitch abbreviations explained: How to make the twist:
CF4 Cable front four: slip two stitches onto cable needle, hold in front of work, knit next two stitches, then knit the two stitches from the cable needle.
CB4 Cable back four: slip two stitches onto cable needle, hold in back of work, knit next two stitches, then knit the two stitches from the cable needle.
Cozy #1 Single Twists, Beginner
The cables are made in one row and all turn in the same direction making it easier to remember. Get the feel of making the twists.
