Stress Knitting

Knitting has been my stress release during the pandemic. I spent the first two months of lockdown making my son an afghan. It’s not exactly what he needs right now in the middle of the summer. But come winter he’ll be ready to get cozy under this. The repetition of this pattern was very soothing to me. I have been a knitter for years and tackled some complicated projects. This afghan was a rest for my mind and fingers. The pattern is called Meadow Lane. You can make it all one color or mix it up. I made stripes, each one on my blanket was one skein wide, no counting. It produced a bold asymmetrical design.
