I’ve been to the LIBRARY, sort of…
Every Sunday afternoon used to find me and hubby roaming the stacks at one of the thirteen Marin County Libraries. But we’ve had our books checked out since March! Then three weeks ago the libraries opened up for curbside pickup. All you have to do is put a hold on whatever you want. Trouble is, for a browser like me, I didn’t know what I wanted. Then hubby taught me a trick: Look up books you like on Amazon and then scroll down to the “You may also like…” section. Voila! Ideas for what to get from the library. And that is how I ended up with the next installment from Theodora Goss. I read this book a when it first came out. So I was eager to put. a hold on the third installment, The Sinister Mystery of the Mesmerizing Girl
Here’s what Amazon says about the series: Based on some of literature’s horror and science fiction classics, this “tour de force of reclaiming the narrative, executed with impressive wit and insight” (Publishers Weekly, starred review) debut is the story of a remarkable group of women who come together to solve the mystery of a series of gruesome murders—and the bigger mystery of their own origins.
If you like Holmes and Watson (who make an appearance by the way) this might be a fun read for you to check out. And the good thing is, there are three books in the series.
