Autunm at last....ahhh

Have you settled into the fall season yet? September is more the beginning of the year for me than January ever could be. January is mid-winter and often seems like I  just have to survive till warmer weather. Granted all that winter knitting helps ease the dark days. But still January is not a beginning anywhere but in the calendar industry. Nope, for me September is the beginning. It’s the school year thing. Only a hand full of Septembers in my life have not been connected to the school year. I was either going to, working at, or taking a kid to school. This time of year is the beginning. I am charged up. I feel lots of possibility. I make all kinds of lists. The lazy days are over, deadlines seem to return. I must confess I like the structure. Time to organize and get ready to tackle new things. It may be that I am just starting to think of Christmas knitting, or I’m planning what care packages I to send my son at college. But the fall invites change. The dark of winter means I should just stay inside and hunker down, but fall wants me to grab a sweater and go for a walk.
