Going to the show! TNNA

The National Needlework Association Show (TNNA), it’s finally time! Thursday I board a plane and take off for Columbus, Ohio. Every year the end of June TNNA runs a trade show. This is where all the yarn shop owners go to see the latest and softest the fiber world has to offer. Row after row, booth after booth pile after pile of lovely yarn. Not to mention notions and kits, magazines and books. All the goodies you will see in the fall at your LYS are drooled over and purchased in Columbus. Okay not every yarn shop owner in the world goes but it is a great excuse to get out and go play with the who’s who of the yarn world. And to see what the new  “must have” is for the coming year. And I get to attend! I have a booth at TNNA this year. I will be showing my book , Knit With Love, Stories to Warm a Knitter’s Heart. I’ll be handing out signed copies and taking orders. This is my chance to meet shop owners from around the country. I love meeting readers and visiting with fiber folks. The knit world has so many lovely people it’s sure to be great fun on the show floor. There is a down side to the TNNA Show though. You can’t take anything home with you. The purpose of the show is to take orders for all the goodies shop will carry in the fall. So it’s full of samples. Attendees get to touch but not take. Sigh. Ah well there is the promise of new treats in autumn. Stay tuned.
